On May 25, the whole world celebrates Africa Day, an important date symbolizing liberation, solidarity and the desire for unity among the countries of the continent. It was on this day in 1963 that the Organization of African Unity was founded, which became the forerunner of the African Union.

Africa Day commemorates the continent's great contribution to world culture, economy, and humanitarian cooperation. Africa is a source of ideas, energy, innovation, and traditions that enrich all of humanity.
Today, it is more important than ever to strengthen dialogue, expand the boundaries of international partnership and build effective models of cooperation. The BRICS House is already implementing joint educational, humanitarian and cultural initiatives with a number of African countries.
We are confident that only together — through mutual respect and support — will we be able to build a sustainable and just future.
